Firefighters want meeting with government representatives

With calls “we are saviors and we save lives”, firefighters from all Kosovo municipalities are protesting before the Government, demanding better conditions for work.

Fire Union Chairman Muharrem Beka said they will stand before the government until they meet the prime minister or any government representative to discuss their demands.

Their demands are to regulate fire status, definition of management competencies, secure budget lines, to become the level of wages at the country level, because firefighters do not have the same cofficients in municipalities; Compensing night shifts, state and religious holidays and overtime. Improve the work and equipment conditions for work.
