EU ambassadors back work decision near Decani Monastery

Lekaj, thanking the ambassadors of EU countries, members of the Council for Protection of Cultural Heritage, Ambassador Apostolova and KFOR Commander Cuoci, have reaffirmed again that the Ministry of Infrastructure and he as its minister remain committed to respecting the law enforcement and to working on the country's laws, to the best of citizens and communities across the country.
The first of MI also said that the Decani Monastery will not be violated by this infrastructure project and that in the past that it has been protected by residents of this side from now on it will be protected and respected, reaffirming its position that no action within the area will be done without the approval of the Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage and Monastery, while in terms of works outside the Protection Zone, Lekaj said it is the responsibility and competence of the Ministry of Infrastructure and that no one needs permission.
Lekaj said this project has no purpose but to facilitate road flow and provide a road infrastructure for businesses, goods and citizens of this beautiful area and prospects for tourism development.
Minister Lekaj clarified both ambassadors and public opinion that the Haradinaj Government and the government's minister will work hard to make the lives of citizens of this area and the prospect of tourism on this side improve with infrastructure, which also brings greater economic development and free and rapid circulation for the goods and citizens of our country, and especially for the inhabitants of this part of the country.
