Following NATO's invitation to start negotiations with Macedonia, the US wants to deliver a special message of support to Balkan countries.
According to the State Department communiqué, Secretary Mattis's visit is the first to the region and will meet with the defence ministers of Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Bosnia and Serbia.
