Charged of extortion, corruption, threats expected to take place of Fadil Vokrri

The Kosovo Football Federation will hold the extraordinary assembly tomorrow, in which the successor of the late Fadil Vokri is expected to be elected. Up until now, Agim Ademi is the only candidate for this position. He received the backing of almost all regional Kosovo football ties. Ademi, who from tomorrow could receive the preference of the president of the Kosovo Football Federation, was charged with extortion and corruption. In fact, the charge against him is said to have threatened the witness of this case, who through a recording had revealed the scandal. Periscop sources have indicated that this month's next trial session will be held on July 20th, while this case has been passed to locals after the EULEX trial ended. For this crime, Ademi may be sentenced to 10 years in prison. There have been hours since Periscop contacted Adam, who said he is currently at a meeting, and that the most final call will be received, but this did not happen. The answer has not even returned a telephone message sent to him.  

The view of the FFK's chairman, Fadil Vokrin, who died of a heart attack, Prizren's Regional Football League and the Regional League of Gjilan Football, invited NCKU deputy chairman Agim Ademi to call the election assembly to elect the new president of the Federation.

Their reason for this haste was not to create institutional vacuum, Periscope reports.

In fact, both ties in their proposal asked Deputy Chairman Agim Ademi to run for the first of the Kosovo Football Federation.

Vorkry had passed away on June 9th, while only days later the proposal for Adam was submitted, when the state flag was sitting in half a row in honour of the late chairman, whose death had caused deep grief in the country.

According to them, Ademi is the potential candidate for the position.

But, Ademi, who is expected to be elected president in the extraordinary Election Assembly due tomorrow, July 6th, is charged with extortion and corruption.

In 2012, Adam had kept 30 days in custody, having been accused of corruption and extortion.

In fact, his custody was also determined because of the possible threat of witnesses to the case in question.

Besides Ademi, accused were businessman Muharrem Rama, and former Pristina Parliament Speaker Sami Hamiti.

Businessmen Agim Ademi and Muharrem Rama from Pristina were caught in a recording seeking bribes on behalf of Pristina's former Communist Assembly Chief Sami Hamit.

At the time, it was reported that the record was made by Dritaro Kadolli, owner of the company “Capital Ring”, who had requested construction permits in Pristina's municipality for construction in Pristina's Sophalia neighbourhood.

Investigations launched against the head of the Municipal Assembly, Sami Hamit and two other businessmen have allegedly searched 2 houses and a BMW car, provided the Sofalia neighbourhood's urban plan is changed in Pristina, to allow “Capital Ring” construction, are based on exactly those recordings.

Periscop sources have clarified that several court hearings have already been held in the case, which is being investigated by the Randa Crime Department.

The next session is scheduled on July 20th. Just a few weeks after Ademi takes over the post of the first FFKU, as the only candidate to date.

Ademi for running this position has not held back at all from being the chief accused of extortion and corruption, a threat to the witness's destruction.

The FFK Executive Committee had confirmed that the extraordinary electoral Assembly would be held 6 July.

The WFK Executive Committee has decided that the extraordinary Election Convention for the mayor's position should be held on July 6th, at 5:00, at Emerald Hotel. The Executive Committee (KE), looking into the state of emergency in Kosovar football after the death of legendary Chairman Fadil Vokri and after the support and suggestions of FIFA and UEFA senior officials, to not leave institutional voids, made this decision on the basis of its competency issued by the FFC Statut “, a FFK) report sent to the media said.

Amazingly, Ademi, who has the charge of extortion and corruption, received broad support in the football community.

Days earlier, the media reported that Ademi had already collected most of the signatures, making it impossible for any other potential candidate to run.

He needed 15 signatures, which he had no difficulty providing.

If Ademi is elected the new president of the NFF, he will continue his two-year term, left halfway by the late Fadil Vokri, as elections will be held in 2020 in all sports organisations for the 2020-2024 Olympic cycle. /Periscopi
