The view is all that's left, it's completely paralyzed. She was near the wells, and she stopped recovery ever since. She went to fifth grade, but she could not go further. I went to one doctor, to another, had a fever, touched his brain. She doesn't find a family not to be ill at the Marinze”, says Margarita.
Her grandson, who lives in Greece, also has respiratory problems every time she comes to visit her grandparents.
“From the smell of oil and gas I feel a disease. I've asked my cousins who come from Greece, and they have similar problems”, he says.
In another family, the four are diagnosed with three different diseases. Two children, the daughter 32 and the 29 - year - old son have serious mental problems while family head Tayar Tafa suffers from high carbon in the blood, while his wife suffers from asthma.
The four of us are sick of environmental pollution. In the morning, we feel a very bad air, we are blocked by breathing. We can't get out. We can't stay inside in the afternoon or dinner. The water is then drinking because we buy it every day. The water we have doesn't wear out. Farm products are also bitter from environmental pollution”, says the wife.
The effects of pollution from hydrocarbon waste affect 2,700 people, who live in the Patos-Marinza oil storage area.
