According to Robelli, Swiss media have blamed two footballers of Albanian origin, Granit Jaka and Gerdan Shaqiri for failing their national team in the World Cup. Switzerland was eliminated at 1/8 of the final against Sweden, and the two in question have been singled out for poor performance.
After much criticism, the German star Mesut Ozil has recently decided to retire from Germany's national, which has been eliminated since the group stage. According to journalist Robelli, these criticisms have sometimes been even racist.
