Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselini has started an official visit to Strasbourg for the visa liberalisation process for Kosovo citizens.
Prime Minister Wessel has been hosted today at a special meeting by European Parliament Speaker Antonio Tayan, with whom he has discussed steps expected to be taken over the following months to complete the visa liberalisation process, indicated in the Parliament's announcement.
The head of the Kosovo Assembly has taken the European Parliament Speaker's pledge that they are willing to proceed with the eurodeputs' decision once the European Commission comes up with the positive visa report.
“I am happy to confirm the European Parliament President's claim that we will have the full support of the European Parliament for visa liberalisation for our citizens. That's great news. We are waiting for the positive report at the end of this month, at the same time in the European Parliament we will receive the necessary support for the free movement of our citizens. This is a path to some link, and we are sensationalising all the acters so that this year our citizens can move without visas this year”, Chief Prime Minister Wessel said after meeting with the president of the European Parliament.

The head of the Kosovo Parliament has informed the head of the European Parliament of political developments in Kosovo and of the necessary reforms that Kosovo institutions are undertaking in the process of European integration.
Wessel said that Kosovo's Assembly considers with particular priority and adopts all bills coming up in the integration process, and has the special commission dealing with the compliance of all laws with European Union laws.
Chairman Wessel thanked Mr. Taani and the European Parliament in general for the continued support it has given to the state of Kosovo and its European perspective.
The head of the Parliament underlined Kosovo's determination to move forward in the Euro-Atlantic agenda, as a national priority, for which there is full consensus among political subjects.
