Albulen Haxhiu said it is fair for political subjects to be taken in the last elections by the power to send their members to the Central Election Commission.
“In CEC must have two coalition members PAN, two members Movement V DEPENSE! and two LAA members, as the Constitution and Law require of elections, and as the outcome of the June 11th 2017 elections determined. Unless the presidency initiated the nomination procedure of CEC members, Movement V ON April 17th of this year, Adnan Rrustemin and Nazle Balaj, for two members in the CEC, as predicted by the Constitutions and the Law for Elections, Albulen Haxhiu said.
Currently, the president's office instead of proceeding with these nominations is hindering the appointment of CEC members by the opposition. Those in contempt of the law have announced their oath to the president only by one representative, not as belonging to the opposition, by two members.
Adnan Rrustemi counted the constitutional violations President Thaci is making, especially with the recent decisions on the mandate of representatives of political subjects in the CEC.
We are found that although more than two months have passed since the V Movement The presidency has not fulfilled its responsibilities in confirming these nominations as members of the CEC. Under the election law, the mandate of members of the Central Election Commission starts no later than sixty (60) days after the certificate of Kosovo Assembly Election Results. While the outcome of the Kosovo Assembly elections has been certified on July 8th, and under the law it would have to change the composition of the CEC by the beginning of September last year, reflecting on the new composition based on the outcome of the June 11th elections, Adnan Rrustemi added.
Nazlie Bala told of the call completely inconsistently, without any letter or official email she received from the President's office. Last Thursday, by the President's Office, directly from the legal office, I received a call to take part in the oath as a member of the CEC. This call is neither official nor legal because I have not accepted any official documents, and all the more when appointed by the Movement, Adnan Rrustemi, has not been contacted at all. This has happened without any official explanation and is thus unacceptable, Nazlie Bala said.
