US President Donald Trump stated that North Korea is still an extraordinary threat to its country.
By means of a presidential decree, Trump has kept economic sanctions on North Korea, which holds nuclear weapons, while extending for a year “the national emergency state of” against this state, writes ATSH.
However, after meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, President Trump wrote on Twitter that “now has no nuclear threat from North Korea”.
Meanwhile, the signing of this decree only nine days after that statement asked questions.
The presidential decree says government policies and North Korea's actions pose an extraordinary threat to US national security, economy and foreign policy.
