Jahir Bata, chairman of the war damage organisation “The upgrade of Voice”, says about a thousand indictments have been filed which have been rejected by courts, but that after the 400-sosh complaints are for review at the Court of Appeals, 100 at the Supreme Court and 50 in the Constitutional Court.
Only Scilaraj's Serbs demand 500 thousand euros in compensation for war damages.
About a thousand demands have been drafted by war damage organisations “The establishment of Voice”, whose headquarters is in Skenderaj and delivered to courts, almost all in Kosovo municipalities, but all of them have been rejected by courts with the reasoning that another state cannot be indicted.
Jahir Bata, chairman of the NGO “The standing up of Zere”, told “Zer” that hope in plaintiffs has returned Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who has promised he would support all citizens' demands in terms of compensation for war damages.
Bayta said he had requested a meeting with the country's prime minister, but that this meeting was not realised, since, as Bata said, the prime minister has not been notified of the request.
The prime minister did not know there is an organisation dealing with the damages of war. We have asked him to meet and discuss the war damage case. Voice building is a professional war damage association. Thanks to the national cause, the professional activity of the attorney's quality is completely free. Financial support from the central and local level has contributed to the impasse, while parties (victimation) travel from 100 kilometers in one direction to draw up the case for compensation at Skenderaj”, Bayta has clarified.
He has said the court's refusal to apply is for any trial.
