Serbia's border police did not provide information or reason for their move.
Maliqi was travelling with the playwright and director of the Multimedia Centre lives Neziraj and Kosovo editor-in-chief and photographer 2.0, Besa Luci and Majlinda Hoxha.
They were planning to participate in a discussion on the launching of publication “20 years Beyond/Preco/Beyond”, which sums up a chronology of 20 years of cultural co-operation between cultural acts from both states.
Publishing and discussion are implemented by Center for Cultural Decontamination based on Belgrade and Kosovo 2.0, based on Pristina.
After Maliqi's ban, other members of the group also decided to return to Pristina.
This decision was based on the fact that travel to Belgrade and participation in events would only contribute to normalising a discriminated practice and non-human treatment of Kosovo citizens.
Moreover, the case goes against the spirit of the normalisation process between the two states and the failure to support one of its fundamental principles of freedom of movement. /kosovotopintzero. com/
