Renowned Swiss club activates 10 Albanian footballers in a match (Photo)

Football clubs in Switzerland, from elite to low categories, have always had Albanian football players in their ranks.

But one thing I haven't seen so far at a elite team in Switzerland happened on Saturday.

In a friendly match between Rappersville Jonah and Zurich, 10 Albanian footballers have been activated to the latter.

Zurich coach Ludovic Magnin gave the chance to play 22 footballers, where 10 of them were Albanians.

The match started with five Albanians in formation, Eni Sadik and Mirlind Kryeziu in defence.

Iron Kryeziu debuted for the white and blue club in the middle, while Izer Aliu and Bledian Krasniqi played from the start.

In the second part, 11 football players left to join 11 others in the field.

Once again, as in the first part, there were five other Albanian footballers in the field.

Linder Kamberi and Liridon Berisha were in defense, while Tony Dogjoni was in midfield and on the offensive ward Lavdrim Rexhepi and Dhumberi.

Ramadan Zumberi (28), scored the only goal for Zurich on this challenge.

Zurich lost this friendly challenge with a narrow score of 1-2, while the only goal for the blue and white club marked Dreem Zumber in the 53rd minute.

And for the activism of 10 Albanian football players at this meeting, Kosovo resident Iron Kryeziu has also spoken.

In an exclusive pronouncement for Telegrafio, Kryeziu says he's happy with Zurich's debut.

I'm very happy with my Zurich debut. It was a friendly match, and everything went well in my first match for”, Kryeziu said at first.

The midfielder from Kosovo said there were times when they spoke in Albanian.

“It's very good to see so many Albanian footballers in a match. Sometimes we also spoke Albanian” in the field.

“Most of the players are young and the coach has tried them. I hope that everyone will have professional contracts and contribute to achieve the goals of Club”, Kryeziu said.

It remains to be seen after the start of the Swiss championship, how many of these 10 Albanian football players will stop coach Ludovic Magnin on the first team, as most of them are young.

We remember that Zurich will also participate in the League of Europe after winning the Swiss Cup will play directly in groups.
