According to QKUUK, the drug situation has stabilised, but patients continue to buy it

At the time the state of Kosovo has given 53m euros to the company “Bechtel Enka”, the largest hospital centre is failing to meet the essential drug list.

After several days of severe drug shortages, the institution has managed to meet only 60 %s on the drug list, KTV reports.

Yet, patients say they are continuing to buy drugs.

The head of the patient's association says QKUK is not reflecting the real state of lack of drugs until it encourages patients to initiate procedures to sue institutions for lack of medicines.

And as the drug supply situation continues to be problematic, the procurement review body has made a decision that a Health Ministry tender for providing an essential list of the Tenofovarian drug, to restore it to re-evaluation, providing one company with rights.

It's about Freedom Med, which in decision O The EPS had complained that the MSH had committed several legal violations.

However, the MSH's argument said that in exchanging emails that the MSH had done with producers' companies “Pharmactive” in Turkey, due to shortcomings in production equipment, they will not be able to supply this type of tablet.

Also, the NFA had deemed this company irresponsible, since it had suspended marketing authorisation for this product since the bidding period.

And the severe lack of drugs has also prompted the Kosovo Union Federation, which has not ruled out the maintenance of a strike, in case there is no improvement in the situation with the drug supply.
