Prizren's former Constitutional Prosecutor's Prosecutor, Bajram Hamitaga, has been acquitted of the Constitutional Court in Gjilan on charges of misusing official office.
In this trial, prosecutor Bajram Hamitaga was accused of abuse of duty, while his driver Luan Delili was accused of fearing the criminal procedure, which has also been declared innocent.
They have been released “in lack of evidence”.
According to the court's ruling, the injured Granit paçarizi, for compensation of the property-law requirement, is directed at civil conflict.
Investigations into Hamitaga and Delil began shortly after the broadcast of Kosovo's “Justice in May 2016, in which the prosecutor was accused of seeking favors from a suspect against whom he was conducting investigations.
The Act against Hamitaga and Delil was established by the Founding Prosecutor in Gjilan on 26 September.
According to the indictment, defendant Hamitaga, who was a prosecutor in Prizren's Constitutional Prosecutorship from July 2013 to January 22, 2015, in the quality of the official person with the aim of profiting his wealth for himself and his son, exploiting his office or official authority, has failed to fulfill his official duties, with what he has committed the criminal offence of official office or authority.
The second defendant of this case, Luan Delili, on 8,4,2016, is charged with promising the other person to refrain from making statements, so as to withdraw from giving statements he made at the court hearing at the Constitutional Court in Prizren, that the first defendant B.H. has demanded 5,000 euros, with what he committed in the criminal procedure.
Hamitaga and Dale were found innocent in the prosecution's claims.
