Jarrod Ramos, suspect of deadly shooting in newspaper editorials, “Capital” in Annapolis, U.S.A., has allegedly made threats to the newspaper for years after the newspaper had written about it in 2011.
The newspaper refused to file criminal charges. Ramos blew up with rifle shots after he entered the newsroom killing five people. Police were at the scene within minutes and Ramos was arrested by being sent to prison.
Police said at the conference that he wanted to kill as many people as possible and called for his “victims, adding that Ramos' attack was more likely to be imagined.
It seems that the author's anger with the paper was personal, despite the fact that some media suggested it could have radicalised against the media by President Donald Trump's rhetoric.
In 2012, Ramos filed a slander indictment against the newspaper, as its coverage of his sentence in a case of criminal abuse a year ago. Ramos was convicted on charges that he had assaulted a former high school senior, Baltimore Sun reported.
Thomas Marquirdt, former editor and editor of the newspaper, said that after the article published in 2011, Ramos began making increasingly serious online threats to her newspaper and staff.
Despite alleged threats, Marquird refused to seek a restrictive order against Ramos in 2013.
