Through a media conference, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has invited political parties for consensus regarding electoral reform.
PDK chief member and Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri have spoken at this conference.
“The PDK wants to remind the political subjects in our country that co-operation, putting aside political differences, and consensus on issues that are the general state and political interest of our country is weak so that many of the country's important issues find a solution that is in line with the political, civil and civic aspirations of our society”, Tahiri has said, Periscope.
According to him, one of the most important issues is that of electoral reform.
So, among many outstanding issues, the Democratic Party of Kosovo considers it necessary for the country's political class to reach the consensus needed to start one of the most important topics for the country, which is electoral reform”, he said.
Tahiri has said the PDK has made a five-point platform that election reform has listed as one of the most important topics for the development of the democratic system in Kosovo.
He has invited all political parties to work jointly on this platform, and voiced optimism that this invitation would respond positively to all parties because of its importance to the country. /Periscopi
