Missiles detonated inside the warship (Video)

A German Navy frigate has found itself in a difficult and dangerous emergency when its missile triggered and spread fire over the deck. The dramatic footage of the moment was caught in the video.

“Sachsen”, one of the newest missile frigates in Germany's Navy, had crossed the waters off Norway's coast with the “frigate. Lubeck” of submarine hunting, participating in a joint naval exercise with the Norwegian Navy.

Several hours in training, Sachsen was prepared for fire with SM-2 anti-aircraft missiles when the unexpected incident occurred. A video, reportedly filmed by an adjacent ship, is seen the moment of the rocket explosion, opening fire over the deck.

Fortunately, the flame did not spread through other rockets loaded on the ship, while the crew activated fire systems and operated “quickly and fairly”, according to the German Navy.

Besides the damage, no one was injured on board, though two sailors were shocked after the incident.
