The Independent Union of Trepca Miners has sent a letter to Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, where they express concern over the failure to pass the draft statute for Trepca proposed by workers and warn radical actions in the future, not excluding protests and the general strike.
The “Minators and Trepca workers are disappointed with the Trepca Board's approach. The honoured prime minister, of you, has been promised that both versions of the draft statute for Trepca are sent to the Parliament, but this has not happened, and miners are very concerned about this situation created and there is no exception to the transition of the situation where I can go towards protest or general strike”, said the letter.
The miners commemorate that the current situation in Trepca is not good, as their demands and remarks are not taken into account by the Trepca Board and the Government of Kosovo.
