The list was compiled with the measurement of the situation in three areas: social security, internal and international conflict and militarism.
Iceland remains the most peaceful country in the world, a position it has since 2008, while Syria remains last on the list for the fifth year in a row.
Of the Balkan region countries, Kosovo ranks the worst in 92nd place, then comes Bosnia to number 89, Macedonia 87, Montenegro 58, Serbia 54 and Albania 52.
