The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to insist that Liberia has not reversed the decision on recognising Kosovo.
But they have not witnessed this with official confirmation, until in Serbia the boasting that Kosovo has managed to cancel yet another recognition, writes Koha Ditore today.
Although they have not indicated whether the official position of the Liberia Foreign Ministry has come to them, confirming that no annulment has taken place, MPJs have said they are in constant contact with authorities in Liberia.
“Sic and we have even announced yesterday through the media communiqué there is no change or movement from the previous one, respectively, recognition from Liberia. On the contrary, Kosovo will soon have a non-resident ambassador to Liberia, who has already received accreditment of the authorities of this state”, have responded from the Department for Public Communication in the MPJ. “We are in constant contact with Liberian authorities, and this country remains steadfast in supporting Kosovo's independence and our country's full and equal membership in international organisations”.
But a day after publishing the verbal note through which the recognition of Kosovo by Liberia, Serbia's Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic has met with the foreign minister of this state, Gbezongaro Miltono Findli, who has thanked him for the decision.
