First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli hosted Canada's Ambassador to Croatia, who is also the non-resident ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Daniel Makymiuk.
In a communiqué for media, common institutional goals for deepening relations between two states in all areas of common interest, increasing Canadian support for the country's membership in Euro-Atlantic structures and the International Organisation, as well as potential Canadian investments in Kosovo, in particular in the mining sector were some of the topics of discussion of this meeting.
Canadian support for Kosovo has always been irreplaceable. From NATO intervention, housing of Kosovo refugees, contributions to preserving peace to statehood and integration of the country into international structures. Now is the time to give new synergies to co-operation and partnerships between the two countries, in particular in the field of economic investments and the creation of new jobs”, Pacolli has said.
