North Korean leader Kim Jong Un did not respond when asked if he would give up his nuclear weapons.
However, President Trump predicted he would work with Kim Jon Un to resolve differences over the North Korean nuclear programme.
“Working together we will take care of it,” said Trump at the start of an extended meeting.
He said the two leaders “will solve a major problem, a major dilemma”.
Kim and President Trump have begun their second rounds of talks, which will end with a working lunch.
