The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has felt embarrassed when asked by reporters after meeting with Kosovo mufti Naim Ternava, if he has today forgiven Fiter Bajrami.
Haradinaj, ironising, has answered the journalist's question. He said he did not forgive Bajram himself, but he was forgiven by the mufti.
“I... the mufti has pardoned me for”, Haradinaj said as he left smiling at the meeting with representatives of the Islamic Community of Kosovo.
Haradinaj has said that “along with Deputy Prime Minister Pacolli and my cabinet we have come to congratulate him for this Kosovo Islamic Community holiday, Mufti Naim Ternava and his associates, wishing to enjoy this holiday in religious harmony as we Albanians know.
Also expressing gratitude for having fasted may the sacrifice be accepted. The country's institutions are interested in the spiritual side simultaneously in expressing gratitude for the Islamic Community, but for the rest”, Haradinaj has declared.
