The residents' agreement with Haradinaj also envisioned the employment of young people on this side in the mines of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK).
Since the employment of the residents has not yet begun, they have made new actions that could cost more to the state budget.
They've opened large numbers of bunkers, and they're all saying they're doing it because they've always worked their lands.
The representative of these residents, Azem Doctor, said for RTV Dukagjin that many injustices were committed against them.
None of these people who have taken their lands have been hired. There have been some with high schools or engineers who have been employed, about 20 or so, but from this place, no”, said Azem doctor.
On the other hand, Deputy Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Fatmir Matoshi said no investment of these residents conducted after signing the agreement would be offset.
“The residents of the Hades and Shipule villages have an agreement with the Government of Kosovo, and it will remain in force. All investments made by residents in these lands will not increase earth's value at all, however costly” is said in the response of Deputy Minister Matoshi.
