The Lake of Weyman and Trepca should not be discussed and included in the Association statute, the opposition says. The government promises that this issue will not be discussed with anyone because they are part of Kosovo.
Two of Kosovo's largest resources, the Lake of Weyman and Trepca, are included in discussions of the recent meeting of the Management Team under the draft of the Serb majority municipality Association statute, but has not been disclosed what has been discussed at this meeting.
The Kosovo government has not provided much details on the issue.
Kosovo has assigned its borders and that both Weiman and Trepca are part of Kosovo. Therefore, Kosovo does not discuss the matter”, says in the Kosovo Office and Prime Minister's electronic response given to RTK.
And the opposition party, the LDK, rejects any agreement on Vilman and Trepca. MP Vjosa Osmani says Kosovo has a constitution that defines who is owner.
