In relation to the same period last year, during the first quarter of this year wage spending has increased by 5.1% for subsidies and transfers have increased for 17.7%.
During the first quarter of this year, government spending on goods and services marked increases of 20.2 percent and totaled 48.9m euros. These data are presented in the three-month economy assessment report drafted by the Kosovo Central Bank.
It says that budget expenditures totaled 400.7m euros, which represents an annual increase of 20.2 percent. During this period all budget expenditures categories were marked by growth. Government wage expenses marked 5.1 percent growth and reached the value of 143.6m euros. Subventions and transfers marked increases for 17.7 percent and reached the value of 127.3m euros, writes “Zer”.
Government expenses for goods and services (including municipals) marked increases of 20.2 percent and reached a total of 48.9m euros. Capital investments, which represent about 20.2 percent of total budget expenditures, marked growth of 44.0 percent and reached 80.9m euros. Given the higher growth of expenditures compared to revenues, Kosovo's budget registered the primary budget deficit of 38.6m euros (5.9m euros in surplus at TM1 2017)”, the report said.
