A person from southeastern France has won the “My Million” lottery for the second time in less than two years.
This, according to mathematicians, can happen one in 16 trillion.
The winner, whose name was not public, won his first prize of 1m euros in November 2016 and continued to play every week, reports the BBC.
Last month he won his second prize of 1m euros.
The country in the Houte '% Savie region where the ticket was bought said the winner had barely reacted, adding: “I think he's used to winning”.
Mathematicians quoted by the newspaper é Le Parisien said that the chances of winning My Million once amounted to about one in 19 million.
Last month an Australian man won a local lottery twice a week, collecting more than $1m each time.
The lottery organisers said the chances of winning once amounted to 1.845 million.
We don't know anybody else who won twice a week”, said Matt Hart, the lottery spokesman South Wales for the AFP news agency.
