John Alite, or Haliti in Albanian and Alleto in Italian, came to Kosovo to see closely the life that Albanians in Kosovo do, writes Periscopi.
Alite is the son of an Albanian immigrant from Gjirokastra, and has repeatedly reiterated that he is proud to be Albanian and is stepping on Albanian soil.
He is the most famous Albanian gangster and killer. He was part of the Gambino criminal family, and the subordinate of John A. Gottti, in the '80s, '90s and 2000. In 2011 he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for murder and tribute. He received his reputation when he witnessed the prosecution against his former associates, Gottt and Charles Carneglias.
John Alite was born on September 30th 1962, and was the great grandson of Albanian immigrants. In 1989 he married Carol, where John Gottty Jr was invited.
According to Alites, Periscopi writes, his relationship with Gottti and Gambino's leadership had collapsed in 1994 after confronting associate Carmine Agnelon because he had relations with his wife. However, Victoria Gottti had said that the Albanian had lied about the relationship.
According to his own statements, he shot at 37 people and killed them to 15.
He was released because of his co-operation with the government in 2017.
