Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has hit Austria after the state has ruled out some imams who are accused of disseminating Islamic radicalism
The president has threatened a possible war between Christians and Muslims after Austria has ordered to close several mosques, as well as to expel Turkish imams.
Erdogan has said in a speech in Istanbul “These measures taken by Austria's prime minister make me afraid the world is heading towards a war between the cross and the moon.
These comments have come a day after Austria's government has announced that they could rule out up to 60 Turkish imma with their families, as well as close up to seven mosques.
The Turkish movement has seen it as anti-Islamic, racist and discriminated against.
Austria's opposition parties have said they support this government movement, calling this action “s the only good thing this government has done since it came to power”.
