More than 1.7 million people have been affected by the case, while more than 3 thousand people have been evacuated, reports the BBC.
Volcanic experts have claimed to have warned officials to drive people around the volcano's section Sunday morning because of earth's quakes, as well as the distribution of volcanic materials.
Now, however, there are doubts that the agency had not taken this seriously and reacted immediately.
