A man who had defected from the U.S. Air Force in July 1983 was found in California, has revealed the American Army.
Captain William Howard Hughes, who has made the money laundering, was seen drawing $28,000 from his bank associates to 11 different locations in New Mexico.
He has claimed he was depressed because he was in the air force, so he left and created another identity. The incident was seen when the man who claimed to be Barry O'Beirne was interviewed by police because of passport fraud, but later because of differences, he acknowledged that the real name was William Howard, reports the BBC, followed by KosovaPress.
At the time of desertion he had just returned from Norway, where he worked with NATO forces. Because of his approach to information of higher importance he was reported on the run, and was among the seven most wanted men of the American air force.
