The goal of finding consensus has waned over the new phase of dialogue. The political table aimed at the very consensus will not be organised either this week, initiatives in the Parliament promoting debate over talks with Serbia, while at the presidency have been seen intensifying actions on the same issue, Koha Ditore writes today.
Bekim Baliqi is a professor of political science at the University of Pristina and mentions three reasons that speak of the lack of seriousness in political subjects, to reach consensus that links with final dialogue with the northern neighbour.
The fact that there is no clear framework within which the consensus is required makes it almost impossible to achieve its principle. The withdrawal of the Government's platform for negotiations from the Parliament also speaks of no real seriousness. And third, if there is no broad reconciliation for who will lead the negotiations, it is difficult to even know how they will be led”, Bali told the newspaper.
