Close to 10,000 people dead in Kosovo during 2017

In 2017 there were 9 670 family deaths reported and recorded in the death books. Of them, deaths only in Kosovo were 821, while deaths taken outside Kosovo were recorded in 949.
Of the total reported deaths, occurring only in Kosovo, 4 816 are men, or 55.2%; and 3 905 are women, or 44.8%.
Of all the deaths, 45.4% of them have occurred in health institutions, while 53.1% have occurred at home, as well as 1.5% in another country.
According to the municipality where death occurred, there are mostly Pristina with 2 304 cases of death, or 23.8%; Prizren has 1 013 deaths, or 10.5%; Peja has 640 deaths, or 6.6%, etc. The death age, however, was 60 years older and 80.4% of them.
The third quarter of the year participates with 34.7% of the deaths, while the month December has 9.6% of the reported deaths. According to nationalism, 91.1% of deaths are Albanians.
Violent death in 2017 had a total of 175 cases, or 2.0%.
The number of deaths in disasters was 131, or 74.9.8%; the number of suicides 32, or 18.3%; and the number of murders, 12. or 6.9%. In all violent deaths, the age of 2049 dominates men and women.
Meanwhile, the death toll for 2017 was 228, or 2.6%. The number of dead male babies was 139, or 61.0% and female 89, or 39.0 %.
Dead babies up to 6 days were 132, or 57.9.%; between 7 and 27 days were 46, or 20.2%; and from 28 days to 1 year, there were 50, or 21.9%.
