China is taking missiles to its tense southern sea area to intimidate and tighten its neighbours, US Defense Secretary James Mattis has said.
Speaking in Singapore, he has questioned the methods by which official Beijing deals with the border.
Mattis has declared that the issue of American troops in South Korea would not be a topic of discussion at the meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korea, Kim Jong.
He has added that the US aims at dislerancing the Korean Peninsula, in which about 30,000 American military forces are currently deployed.
At the Security Summit, Mattis said Beijing has sent military equipment, including rockets against ships, land-and-land missiles, as well as signaling equipment in the South China Sea.
The U.S. Secretary underlined that America wants good reports with China, but that it would not be a problem to show force if necessary.
