Canada to Legalize marijuana

The world has turned its attention to Canada, which is preparing to return to the first member of the G7 to legalize marijuana.

The country has already legalised the use of hashish for medical reasons, but the next step will be its full legalisation.

On Thursday, Canada writes “The Guardian”, ends up in the international community's seat, when through the vote in the Senate it is most likely to ratify what is known as the “Bill C-45”.

Canadian Finance Minister Bill Morneau has made it clear that the goal is for cannabis to be kept away from the hands of children and the black market, meaning to keep taxes as low as practically driving criminals from the system.

When it comes to facilitating the laws on cannabis, many countries have clear priorities ranging from income generation to the discouragement of drug cartels. Canada highlights public health: Canabis will be sold in simple packages with health warning notes, usually found in state alcohol stores.
