The deputy prime minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani, during his working visit to Pristina, held meetings with Kosovo Republic Chairman Hashim Thaci.
The meeting featured topics about progress and co-operation between the two countries, in particular cross-border co-operation, European prospects for the Western Balkans in Euro-integration processes, as well as expectations of the European Union's future summits.
The “D of negotiations for the Republic of Macedonia presents key points for our European integrations, but also a key determination for European prospects throughout the Western Balkans” stressed Osmani, expressing satisfaction that the entire region is apparently continuing towards Europe and that there is a creditable perspective for the countries' progress.
“We closed the complex issue between Macedonia and Greece, which represents interstate diplomatic success that I believe will be imposed as a way to close open issues between neighbouring countries throughout the region, Osmani stressed, adding that together with the successful implementation of the good neighbourly agreement with Bulgaria, it demonstrates in Macedonia's maturity and seriousness, in relation to its neighbours.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Osmani will also hold meetings with Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj, where the focus of the talks will be co-operation between the two governments.
