Syria President Bashar al-Assad has appointed to pay a visit to North Korea.
This would be the first visit any leader of any state would make in that country since Kim Jong, writes Aljazeera.
Assad, Korean media reported, has announced North Korean envoy to Damascus Mun Jong-Nam on May 30th for his trip.
I want to pay a visit to the DPA Democratic People's Republic of Korea and meet Kim Jongx1>, Assad said, using the complete acronym of North Korea.
“I am sure he will achieve the final victory and realise the reunification of Korea, without any failure of”.
There has been no comment from his office as president concerning Assad's visit to North Korea.
