Deputy Interior Minister Romina Kuko, Deputy Director of State Police Aida Hayyan and Internal Affairs Service and Ankeses Anila Trimi were in the deceased's family to provide support and assistance, in co-operation with local government.
Of course it's a loss of life, and this loss and pain for the family is too much. We have stood by them and will continue to stand by the family members of Enea Ftoj. We are in constant communication with local governments to see the possibility of social support also of Enea Ftoy's family. At the same time, we are constantly communicating and with the state social service to see whatever assistance we can offer this family” said Deputy Minister Kuko.
US Director confirms the results of expertise. “Today it is scientifically proven by the Institute of Legal Medicine that, to citizens Enea Ftoj, has not been exercised physically by State Police officers. We will continue further investigation into this case”, Anila Trimi stressed.
“We didn't want to draw conclusions that are scientifically groundless. Today, as U.S. Director General noted, the State Police are dismissed by the responsibility of exercising physical violence against citizens Enea Ftoj. Although this case did not result in violence, we are determined that in the State Police organisation, respect and guarantee of human rights be respected precisely by any state police officer”, the interior minister added, among other things.
During the meeting that Deputy Minister Kuko and US Director Trimi held with local Police Directorate structures in Korca were discussed as priorities of the Interior Ministry and State Police, such as the struggle to cultivate narcotic plants, prevent domestic violence, as well as the conduct of police officers under the code of ethics.
