Former European Integrations Minister Mimoza Ahmetaj has said that from current information, the European Commission's visa report will be published by mid-July.
On the show “Face” has been discussed for the chances we have of visa liberalisation this year.
The June “End is the time when the European Council will come up with its conclusions regarding the package of expansion, for each state separately. From the current information we have, the visa liberalisation issue” will not be mentioned in this package, said former Minister Ahmetaj, who has subsequently given a dose of optimism for the visa liberalisation process.
“We expect that the EC's report on liberalisation is expected to emerge by mid-July, and then this will be the green light that will be given to EU institutions to complete this process”, Ahmetaj has further added.
Ahmetaj has been declared that Tanja Fajon and Ulrice Lunacek have provided indicators Kosovo has met the conditions for visa liberalisation.
“Tanja Fajon and Ulrice Lunacek have given impetus to Bosnia and Albania in the visa liberalisation process. Therefore they are sufficiently familiar with the process, and it is the Fajon Commission within the European Parliament, which comes out with recommendation, which then goes to the EU Council of Ministers”, Ahmetaj has declared.
The former minister has cautioned that the lobby should continue in separate states, because the form of voting is one that gives us optimism.
Kosovo must lobby in every single state, so that we are not blocked when it comes to the Council”, Ahmetaj has said, adding that the decision will be made by the Council where the interior ministers of EU states are present.
