Muhharrier had linked Haradinaj with profits from the oil business and the games of fate, but his lawyer says these were not the words of Muhhajer.
Peja Mayor Gazmend Muharnier and his legal representative were not at the tribunal this Tuesday, in the case where he was indicted by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj for slander.
Their lack, however, was not an obstacle for the preparation hearing to continue.
Haradinaj's lawyer, Arian Koci, reading the indictment, has argued for compensation of the damage, amounting to 250 thousand euros.
On the other hand, Besnik Berisha, Gazmend Mujarır's lawyer, said in a statement to KTV, it was not his words he was indicted for slander, but the journalist at Der Standart.
Berisha expects the indictment to be rejected by the tribunal.
The case judge has rejected the request that Austrian journalist Addelheid Wölfl be heard as a witness, while the main review hearing is scheduled for July 9th.
Muhharrier was rumoured in an Austrian newspaper report that he had accused Haradinaj of profiting from the oil business and lucky games, as well as participating in minority cleansing operations.
In addition to the libel indictment, Muhaxier, in November 2015, had also faced protests by citizens and war veterans in Pec.
