Today it is 19 years since NATO troops entered Kosovo to end Serb massacres and chauvinism on innocent Kosovo citizens.

NATO's intervention in Kosovo preceded a fierce war between the Kosovo Liberation Army and Serbian forces (the army, police and paramilitary) and after many massacres committed against Albanian civilians.

The entry of NATO troops took place after Kumanovo's agreement between Serbian officials and NATO authorities, then led by British General Mike Jackson. With this agreement, Serbia was forced to withdraw all its police and military forces from Kosovo.

Kosovo's Day of Liberation, along with independence, is considered to have marked the biggest turn in history.
