The Parliamentary Group of the Vetevendosje Movement has submitted the application for interference with Kosovo's Telekom and Post to the Kosovo Assembly today.
In his statement in the Kosovo Assembly, the researcher for this intervention, VV chairman and MP Albin Kurti, had presented the deep problems that have created these two companies constant interventions in financial and power groups, but also presented the solutions we propose.
Following that stance is today's request for inter-relation with the Kosovo prime minister.
Kosovo's “Telekom is currently in crisis, but as business. Such a financial situation is no coincidence or consequence of circumstances outside the responsibility of Kosovo governments and decisions made from 2007 until now. Z-Mobile as an idea, as a project and as manipulation in addition to winning their owners serves as the initiative for the collapse of Telekom. What was once achieved with AXOS was met with arbitration and fine on Telekom by an illegal and mafia deal with Z-Mobile. Kosovo's public telecom company, from which the budget would ensure only profit, is turning it into the company, which has made the financial crisis architecture perfect for the public to justify the solution with privatisation/scut. Overworks mainly in administration, not on professional technical staff, are clientelemism and service for the ruling parties' network. But in the sense of public company governance they are the clear order of the collapse of its business. There were and there were plans to weaken and even discredit KK to the point that the general public voluntarily supports its sale”, Kurti said.
“Post and Kosovo Telecom (PTK) as property, with post- and telecommunications infrastructure and with everything it possesses, is as well as where it has always been and remains among the most valuable assets our country has and of vital importance to our country. Causers who brought Telekom and Post to this situation must face and face justice. Today, this opportunity seems to be running due to Kosovo's justice system. But crime traces in PTK cannot be erased or lost. And neither the names that were caused by”, he added.
The VV's goal is to propose solutions to this situation because Telekom as a business can and must be saved. PTK as a business is ahead of default and risks operating post and telecommunications services in the country.
Kosovo's “Convention is obliged to intervene to ensure the continued delivery of these services and to propose a resolution after the discussion in the Parliament”, he has said.
