The head of the Food and Veterina Agency (AUV), Valdet Djindovci, said this inoculation is of importance to preventing wild animal rage disease because it endangers human health.
All that is important has a positive effect on eliminating the disease of rage on wild animals, which at the same time are carriers or disease broadcasters, but they can also be dangerous to human health. Therefore, the food and veterinary agency has always applied to the European Commission”, Djindov said.
The vaccines spread over Kosovo's territory with butterflies that began from Pristina International Airport.
The AUV will distribute over a million vaccines.
The AUV chief said there are two annual phases where their vaccine or distribution -- in the spring and autumn period -- occur.
By the 31st, 250 thousand vaccines will be distributed, and within the year 500 thousand vaccines will be distributed and four stages of vaccined for two years, which are about 1 million vaccines, which will be distributed throughout the entire country. The value of the project is 1m euros financed by the European Commission, in this profitable case is the Food and Veterina Agency, and above all Kosovo in general”, he has said.
The distribution of vaccines for the first time in Kosovo has started since 2010.
