Speaking of Euroactiv. com, Thaci has said Kosovo has a friendly feeling towards Spain.
“We respect the democratic tradition in the state of Spain and also its territorial integrity”, Thaci has indicated.
We understand the sensitivity of the Spanish issue and will continue to remain friendly states. Sooner or later we will all be members of a large family, in the EU”, President Thaci was quoted as saying.
On March 23rd, Spanish Prime Minister Boyko Borissov announced his Bulgarian counterpart, Boyko Borissov, that he will not attend the Sofia Summit, as he does not want to be low at the same table as Kosovo.
However, Rajoy attended a informal dinner in Sofia a day before European leaders arrived to send the message that he would not offend Bulgarian hostess.

At the Sofia Summit, Spain is being represented by its ambassador to the European Union, Juan Pablo, until all participating states are represented by their leaders.
