President Hashim Thaci has congratulated experts on their work on winning the legal battle in arbitration against AXOS company. GMBH, which called for compensation hundreds of millions of euros from Kosovo, for cancelling privatisation to 75% of PTK shares.
Thaci has said they do not allow Kosovo to be misused as a state.
Kosovo will always welcome foreign investment, but we never allow it to be misused as a state. The right and all the evidence in the case of the indictment that AXOS were in our favor. I congratulate the expert team on the professional work and defence it has done to Kosovo. As an independent and sovereign state, we are part of Arbitrazhi because we believe in this institution and in fulfilling international obligations. We have built capacities to attract foreign investment, but also to protect our state's interests from its unstable” claims, he wrote, follows Kosovas.
With that decision, Axos GMBH is forced to pay the Republic of Kosovo 2m euros on behalf of spending for representation.
