Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was part of the ceremony marking Winner Day in Russia, where he had met Russia's new president, Vladimir Putin.

After he arrived in Moscow, Natanyah joined Putin at the military parade in which the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany achieved during World War II is celebrated, reports “DW” Transmission Periscope.

“Russia is open to dialogue on all issues surrounding global security”, Putin said.

Israel is concerned about Iran's involvement in the seven-year conflict in Syria, and fears its presence.

The options between us are always important and this was one of them”, Natanyah said.

Israeli air strikes have sparked fears of revenge from Iran.
