Swiss feel secure and optimistic about the future

By 2018 the Swiss have generally felt very secure, optimistic about Switzerland's future, and have shown less pessimism for international politics compared with the past.
These are the findings of security research in 2018 conducted by the military academy and the Zurich Centre for Security Studies, followed by Kosova Prees.
Since 199, the annual survey has analysed the trains in public opinion on security, foreign and defence policies.
This year's report has had particular emphasis on the fight against terrorism.
95 percent of the Swiss feel very secure, and fear of crime is very small. Some 85 percent have said that they feel optimistic about Switzerland's future, compared to 80 percent last year.
For 64 percent of the most important Swiss is protection against terrorism than personal freedom.
Trust in the institutions of Switzerland and in authority is generally high.
