The Serbian list criticises what it calls frequent errors in the translations of bills which the Kosovo Assembly accepts for approval, and according to this List, Serb rights are violated.
Serbian List of Legislation Council member Igor Sim enemies at today's meeting, in which the day-to-day meeting was the completion of the Criminal Code Bill, which Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri presented, has criticised the poor translation, and has demanded that it be returned to reconstruction,
As sources report, b92, this is the case, since translation into the Serbian language has many linguistic, grammar and spelling errors.
“The translation issue is an ongoing problem and is not resolved. Do you know that with linguistic analysis in Kosovo's current penal code, in addition to about 2,000 termological errors, more than 2,100 grammatical errors have been found, as well as more than 1,300 spelling errors? Do you know that the Serbian language should be equal to and should be respected just as the Albanian language and that a number of subjects in which Serbs have been on have been developed exclusively in the Albanian language?”, Siove has asked.
He has sought division of tools for increased professional translators and for the issue of translation to be resolved, as he said, with disrespect for the right of language violated the right of Serbs.
Tahiri has said they are aware of the problem but cannot do more because the Judiciary Council cannot find sufficient numbers of translators.
