The future of parenthood can see a big change, since scientists and ethics experts have a surprising prediction about how children will be created in the future.

Thanks to advances in biomedicine, parents may be able to choose a child from hundreds of embryos based on their DNA profile.

A growing number of pregnancies begin in a room where labs combine eggs and sperm into a test to create an embryo.

With worldwide infertility increasing, researchers like Amanda Clark are exploring new fronts in reproductive technology.

The scientist at the University of Los Angeles in California and her team are working to turn human skin samples into eggs that would be fertilized by sperm. The process, called gametogosis or IVG, has so far operated solely on rats.

If technology proves to be harmless and effective, I think implementation should be allowed in some cases when couples have infertility problems,” says scientist Amander Clark.
The method will not only solve infertility, but offers a less intrusive procedure for women than the procedure for fertilizing eggs.

“They will go to the clinic, where the man will give sperm and the woman instead of the eggs will give a skin sample. Cells in her skin will be turned into eggs that will then be combined with sperm to create an embryo”, explains Henry Greely, a biomedicine expert.

This means that in theory, parents can choose embryos based on genetic analysis. But not everyone expects parents to use this procedure.

There are some people here in California who want to have a child with as little as possible, there are many people in this state, and they actually make up the majority, which would say the choice is in the hands of God”, says Loanne Hudgins.

But even before researchers examine security concerns about testing the procedure IVG in humans, its potential is promoting a debate about the ethics of parents who choose their offspring
