A lot of people believe that the best way to quit smoking is to reduce the amount they consume before they leave”, says Nicola Lindson-Hewley, of Oxford University. But the results show otherwise, it must be left immediately.
Along with her team, Nicola asked for 700 people in England who had reduced their cigarette to 15 pieces a day, and were thinking of quitting. Half of them were required to drink normally for two weeks, and on the last day, they would leave it immediately, broadcast a bit. The other half was asked to reduce the amount. The data was processed after four weeks of smoking and six months later. Those who had immediately left him did better than the other group. Interestingly, though, at first most of them were to stop gradually and not immediately.
The study has not seen other forms of smoking, such as electric cigarette, which have not yet been fully tested as effective for quitting.
